Dahab was a simple Bedouin fishing village which we entered in our land rover along a dirt road.  These roads in the Sinai had the feeling that we were passing over an old fashioned washboard.  In the seventies it was unspoilt and there was no evidence of it being a popular tourist resort as it is today
